SUP lessons run daily from late December all through summer holidays, as well as weekends in December, February, March, and April. And we cater for groups of four or more, all year round!
Our super popular beginner SUP lesson & tour starts in Port Fairy’s historic Moyne River on flat water. We paddle up the river and toward the old lighthouse, then back into beautiful East Beach where you can try catching some small waves over a leisurely two hours. This sport is easier than you think and is hugely popular with all the mums!
Our equipment is the best available on the market, produced specifically for surf schools. We use soft, stable boards that are easy for beginners to balance, paddle, stand, and surf on. Warm, full-length wetsuits are available if you want to wear one but you will be exercising above the water so most of the time over summer you won’t need one. We provide you with a coloured rash vest so that we can easily identify participants in the water. We also have life vests available for your safety.
Paddleboarders need to wear a swimsuit or boardies and sunscreen, bring a towel, and leave your best sunnies at home; you don’t want them to sink! Don’t forget a camera to document all the fun you’ll have.
SUP tours start at the Sea Scouts shed on Griffith St. next to the boat ramp on Port Fairy’s Moyne River. You can leave your gear in the shed while you paddle. There are no bathrooms at this location.
In accordance with current advice, Go Surf will ensure staff and participants exercise an extra high standard of cleanliness and personal hygiene and limit personal contact. All equipment is thoroughly disinfected between lessons. Your health is our number one priority.
